This project shows how wellness and practical storage space can be combined in one structure. The sauna garden shed consists of a sauna area measuring 230 cm x 230 cm and a directly connected garden shed that offers an additional 230 cm x 150 cm of space. This combination makes efficient use of the available space in the garden without detracting from the overall aesthetic appearance with multiple individual structures. The black façade gives the building a timeless, functional look, which is broken up by large panoramic windows. These allow an unobstructed view of the outdoor area while enjoying the sauna and also create a bright, friendly atmosphere inside.
Finnish aspen, known for its pleasant feel and durability, was used inside the wellness area. A bio sauna heater offers flexibility in the choice of sauna session, as it allows for both classic Finnish and steam sauna options. A special detail of the interior design is the integrated RGB LED lighting in the backrests and the indirect downward lighting, which creates an atmospheric backdrop for the relaxation area. The outer skin made of HPL composite panels is specially designed for long-term outdoor use and can easily withstand moisture and temperature fluctuations. This means that the sauna garden shed remains dimensionally stable and colourfast for years without requiring a lot of maintenance for the façade.
