The shell is made of HPL (high-pressure laminate) panels, a material that was originally used in façade construction. Modern buildings are often clad with HPL because it was developed specifically for these requirements: durable in outdoor areas, resistant to UV radiation, rain, wind and temperature changes.
For a tool shed, this means:
UV-resistant – the surface does not simply fade.
Waterproof – does not absorb water or swell, even if a panel gets scratched or dented.
Easy to clean – dirt, pollen or splashes of water can be easily wiped off.
HPL from the manufacturer Trespa with a thickness of 8 mm is used here. Thinner panels would be technically feasible, but do not meet the quality requirements: the thicker version provides stability, has a rich appearance and is the more solid solution in the long term.
Inside, there is a substructure made of local spruce wood. The result is a tool shed made of HPL that is weather-resistant and designed as a permanent solution for storage space in the garden – without painting, without foils, without compromising on materials.
No impregnating, sanding or painting - never again thanks to HPL!
