What colours is the garden box available in?

Our garden boxes are available as standard in seven selected colours. These standard colours have proven themselves in practice and are particularly popular: black, white, medium grey, anthracite, Tuscany, steel grey and silver grey.

In addition, you have the option of choosing from the complete Trespa® colour palette. This includes an almost unlimited variety of surfaces: from modern plain decors and natural wood and stone decors to multi-coloured and metallic surfaces. This allows us to individually adapt garden chests to your architectural ideas and your colour concept.

If you have a special colour request please contact us directly. As Trespa® does not work according to the RAL system, we recommend that you let us know your desired RAL shade or a reference colour. We will then select suitable samples from the Trespa® collection and send you a pre-selected colour selection for testing.

In order to be able to assess the effect of the surfaces in real life, you can order HPL colour samples free of charge at any time via the website. We will deliver these to your home to help you make your decision. Please request colour samples that are not included in our standard colours via our contact form.

Which HPL panels are used and how thick are they?

The panels used are made of 13 mm thick Trespa® Meteon® HPL, which is recognised worldwide as the highest quality HPL panel on the market. Trespa® impresses with its particularly dense, homogeneous material structure, which is pressed under high pressure and at high temperatures. The result is extremely weather-resistant, UV-stable, colour-fast and scratch-resistant - ideal for high-quality outdoor furniture.

What accessories are available for the garden box?

What are the consequences of a scratch on the HPL surface?

Scratches are visually visible, but do not affect the function or weather resistance of the material.

Can I also place heavy objects on my garden chest?

Yes, this is possible. However, we recommend using an underlay to avoid scratches.

Does the chest have to be covered?

A canopy is not necessary, but can protect the visual surface in the long term.

Is the garden box waterproof?

The garden box is splash-proof. The lid and base are fitted with seals. In extreme weather, a small amount of water may penetrate in rare cases, which dries quickly due to the ventilation.

Is the garden box ventilated?

Yes, ventilation grilles with integrated insect screens are installed in the floor.

What sizes are available for the garden box and are customised sizes possible?

We offer standard sizes for garden boxes as well as customised solutions that can be adapted to your individual requirements.

The following limits apply to customised sideboards:

• Maximum depth: 80 cm
• Maximum height: 120 cm
• Maximum width: 300 cm

Can the interior layout be customised?

Yes, the position of dividers, shelves or inserts can be freely selected.

How do external and internal dimensions differ?

The clear inside height is approx. 15 cm less than the outside height, the depth approx. 3 cm less and the width approx. 3 cm.

Are cut-outs possible?

Yes, we can realise cut-outs according to customer requirements.

How heavy is the chest?

Depending on size, between 40 and 150 kg.

Is the garden box storm-proof?

Yes, our garden box is storm-proof. The gas struts used are designed and positioned in such a way that they actively pull the lid shut when closed. This means that the garden box remains securely closed even in strong winds and offers reliable protection.

Can the garden box also be ordered with castors instead of adjustable feet?

Yes, the garden box can be fitted with castors. This means it remains mobile and can be moved easily at any time, for example for cleaning purposes or when moving around the garden. For a customisation with castors, please contact us via the contact form.

What delivery options are available?

We generally differentiate between two delivery options:

1. forwarding agent delivery (kerbside)
Delivery is by forwarding agent. The furniture is delivered fully assembled on a pallet and placed on the kerbside by the forwarding agent using a lifting hoist. Further transport or carrying to the installation site is not included. As these are external forwarders, we cannot provide any binding information on the vehicle used.

With these two options, you can choose whether you only want delivery to the kerbside or whether you would also like to take advantage of our assembly service.

How is the garden box delivered?

Garden boxes up to a width of 180 cm are supplied pre-assembled.

Garden boxes with a width of over 180 cm require special adjustment:

• With a forwarder delivery the furniture is always delivered ready assembled in principle. This means that the garden box arrives in one piece and is placed on the kerbside. This can make onward transport to narrow stairwells or higher floors very difficult. Such a delivery is therefore only possible by prior arrangement üvia our contact form.
• For living situations in which an assembled garden box cannot be transported, we expressly recommend delivery & assembly by Design@Garten. We deliver the furniture disassembled, carry the individual parts to your home and assemble it professionally at the desired location.

In this way, we ensure that even large garden boxes can be placed comfortably and safely.

Which vehicle is used for delivery?

When assembled by our team, usually with a Sprinter (length 7.00 m, width 2.30 m, height 2.70 m).

What are the requirements for the installation site?

Maximum 2 cm difference in height or slope and a firm, load-bearing surface.

How long does it take the Design@Garten team to assemble a garden box on delivery?

The assembly time of a garden box on site is usually 1 to 2 hours, depending on the size and model. In exceptional cases, assembly can take up to 3 hours but no longer.

Our fitters deliver the garden box disassembled, carry the individual parts to the desired location and assemble it there professionally. Before assembly, you will receive an exact date and time slot for the arrival of our team.

How do you maintain Trespa®/HPL?

Trespa® HPL is very easy to clean. Soiling can be removed with water, mild detergent and a soft cloth.

Annual check - which components should be checked?

Check fittings, seals and hinges for tight fit and integrity.

Are there any items that should not be stored?

Yes, chlorine or strong chemical substances can attack coatings.

Should cushions be removed in winter?

Yes, due to the high humidity in winter and the associated risk of mould.

How does the ordering process for a garden box work?

For customised products or special requirements, we will first provide advice, after which you will receive an offer and an approval drawing. After your approval, we start production. Standard models can also be ordered directly from our online shop for garden boxes.

How much does a garden box cost?

The price depends on the size, features and choice of material. Current prices can be found in the online shop or on request.

Warranty scope - duration and coverage

You receive a 5-year guarantee on construction and panel material, 2 years on fittings. This excludes damage caused by improper use, lack of maintenance or extreme weather events.

Service after delivery - repairs possible?

Yes, we offer chargeable repairs, adjustments or retrofits.
