What colours is the larder unit available in?

Our tall cabinets are available in seven selected colours as standard. These standard colours have proven themselves in practice and are particularly popular: black, white, medium grey, anthracite, Tuscany, steel grey and silver grey.

In addition, you have the option of choosing from the complete Trespa® colour palette. This includes an almost unlimited variety of surfaces: from modern plain decors and natural wood and stone decors to multi-coloured and metallic surfaces. This allows us to individually adapt outdoor tall cabinets to your architectural ideas and your colour concept.

If you have a special colour request please contact us directly. As Trespa® does not work according to the RAL system, we recommend that you let us know your desired RAL shade or a reference colour. We will then select suitable samples from the Trespa® collection and send you a pre-selected colour selection for testing.

In order to be able to assess the effect of the surfaces in real life, you can order HPL colour samples free of charge at any time via the website. We will deliver these to your home to help you make your decision. Please request colour samples that are not included in our standard colours via our contact form.

Which materials are used?

The entire cabinet is made from 13 mm Trespa® Meteon® HPL panels

How strong are the installed panels?

The panels are made of 13 mm thick Trespa® Meteon® HPL, the world's highest quality HPL material. Trespa® impresses with its extreme weather resistance, UV stability, scratch resistance and colour fidelity - even under the harshest weather conditions.

What accessories are available?

Additional height-adjustable shelves, pull-outs, drawers and broom holders can be integrated as required

What material are the shelves made of and how high is the load capacity?

The shelves are made of 13 mm thick Trespa® HPL and can bear loads of up to 50 kg per shelf.

How many shelves are included as standard?

One wide (secondary) compartment contains 2 height-adjustable shelves as standard. A narrow (single-door) compartment contains 2 height-adjustable shelves.

Can the larder unit hold heavy objects?

Yes, the sturdy construction means that even heavy objects such as tools or appliances can be stored safely.

Does the larder unit need to be covered?

No, a canopy is not necessary, but it can protect the visual surface in the long term.

Are the doors divided in height?

No, the doors consist of a continuous Trespa® panel. The visible line is merely a design joint – the top approx. 2 mm of the surface is milled off. This creates the visual impression of a division without compromising the stability or tightness of the door.

Can the tall unit also be ordered without cross joints?

Yes, on request the tall unit can also be manufactured without the visual cross joints. In this case, the front surface remains completely smooth and is made from a continuous Trespa® panel without milled design joints.

What are the consequences of a scratch on the HPL surface?

Scratches are visible, but do not affect the function or weather resistance of the material.

Is the larder unit waterproof or splash-proof?

The larder unit is splash-proof. The doors, lid and base are fitted with seals. In extreme weather, some water may penetrate in rare cases, which dries quickly thanks to the integrated ventilation system.

Is the larder unit ventilated?

Yes, there are ventilation grilles with integrated insect screens in the floor.

Can a tall unit also be ordered without a construction shelf?

No, a larder unit cannot be ordered without a construction shelf. A bolted shelf is absolutely essential as it gives the cabinet additional stability. This construction cannot be dispensed with. However, the height of the bolted shelf can be customised so that the interior is optimally tailored to your needs.

What sizes are available and are special sizes possible?

We offer standard sizes for outdoor tall cabinets as well as customised solutions that can be adapted to your individual requirements.

The following limits apply to customised sideboards:

• Maximum depth: 120 cm
• Maximum height: 300cm
• Maximum width: 300 cm
• Maximum door width: 65 cm

Door/subject logic

• 3-türig: one narrow compartment (narrow door ≤ 65 cm) and one wide compartment – freely selectable: narrow left / narrow right or wide left / wide right.
• 5-türig: 2× wide compartments (position selectable: left / centre / right) and 1× narrow compartment (also selectable: left / centre / right).

Equipment

• Drawer: Position selectable top / centre / bottom.
• Shelves: up to 3 pieces per shelf.

Can the height of the fixed shelf be customised?

Yes, the height of the fixed shelf can be freely determined

Is a firmly screwed shelf absolutely necessary?

In a wide compartment yes, to ensure stability, in a narrow compartment it can be dispensed with.

Can the interior layout be customised?

Yes, the position of shelves, drawers and pull-outs can be freely determined.

How do external and internal dimensions differ?

The clear inside height is approx. 15 cm less than the outside height, the depth approx. 3 cm less. The width depends on the partitioning.

Can the position of the compartments be freely selected?

Yes, the position can be freely selected.

Can the position of the compartments and drawers be freely selected?

Yes, the position of the compartments and drawers can be freely selected

How high is the built-in standard drawer and are other heights possible?

The standard drawer is 15 cm high, other heights are available on request.

Can a centre wall be left blank to store long items?

Yes, there is only a margin of approx. 8 cm on all sides.

What is the maximum door width?

65 cm – therefore maximum width of a second compartment 130 cm.

Are sliding doors possible?

No, as they impair splash protection and can warp under thermal stress.

Can the tall unit be ordered without a base?

No, this is not possible for static reasons.

How heavy is the larder unit?

Depending on size, between 60 and 350 kg.

What is the maximum height, depth and width?

Height: 300 cm, depth: 120 cm, width: 300 cm.

Are cut-outs possible?

Yes, individual cut-outs can be realised at any time.

Is the tall unit storm-proof?

Yes, thanks to the bar lock with handle olive.

Is the built-in bar lock with handle olive lockable?

Yes, the built-in rod lock is equipped with a handle olive and can be locked using an integrated lock cylinder. This allows the doors to be reliably secured without the need for a separate padlock.

Are there seawater-resistant locks?

No, there are currently no bar locks in V2A stainless steel.

What delivery options are available?

We differentiate between two basic variants for the delivery of tall cabinets:

1. forwarding agent delivery (kerbside)
Delivery is by forwarding agent. The furniture is delivered fully assembled on a pallet and placed on the kerbside by the forwarding agent using a lifting hoist. Further transport or carrying to the installation site is not included. As these are external forwarders, we cannot provide any binding information on the vehicle used.

With these two options, you can choose whether you only want delivery to the kerbside or whether you would also like to take advantage of our assembly service.

How is the larder unit delivered?

High cabinets up to a width of 90 cm are supplied pre-assembled.

Tall cabinets with a width of over 90 cm are always delivered disassembled.

• A forwarding delivery of a larder unit is only possible up to a maximum width of 90 cm. Wider tall cabinets are delivered by the Design@Garten assembly team.
• For living situations in which an assembled tall unit cannot be transported, we expressly recommend delivery & assembly by Design@Garten. We deliver the furniture disassembled, carry the individual parts to the home and professionally assemble it directly at the desired location.

In this way, we ensure that even large sideboards can be placed comfortably and safely.

What are the requirements for the installation site?

A maximum height difference of 3 cm or slopes and a firm, load-bearing surface.

How long does it take the design@garten team to assemble a tall unit on delivery?

The assembly time for a tall unit on site is usually 1 to 2 hours, depending on the size and model. In exceptional cases, assembly can take up to 3 hours but no longer.

Our fitters will deliver the tall unit disassembled, carry the individual parts to the desired location and assemble it there professionally. Before assembly, you will receive an exact date and time slot for the arrival of our team.

How do you maintain Trespa®/HPL?

Trespa® HPL is very easy to clean. Dirt can be removed with water, mild detergent and a soft cloth.

Annual check - which components should be checked?

Check fittings, seals and hinges for tight fit and integrity.

Are there things that should not be stored in the larder unit?

Yes, chlorine and strong chemical substances can attack coatings.

Should upholstery or delicate items be removed in winter?

Yes, due to the high humidity in winter, we recommend removing upholstery and delicate items to prevent mould growth.

How does the ordering process for a larder unit work?

For customised products or special requirements, you will first receive a consultation, then an offer and an approval drawing. After your approval, we start production. Standard models can also be ordered directly from our online shop.

How much does a larder unit cost?

The price depends on the size, features and choice of material. Current prices and the option of ordering a tall unit directly online can be found in the online shop or on request using the contact form.

Warranty scope - duration and coverage

You receive a 5-year guarantee on construction and panel material, 2 years on fittings. This excludes damage caused by improper use, lack of maintenance or extreme weather events.

Service after delivery - adjustments or repairs possible?

Yes, we offer chargeable adjustments, retrofits or repairs.
