General information FAQ

Materials & care

  • What materials are the products made of?

All design@garten products are made from high-quality Trespa® Meteon® HPL panels, combined with durable aluminium and FSC-certified wood constructions (depending on the product).

  • Is HPL suitable for outdoor use?

HPL is extremely weather-resistant, UV-stable, colourfast and scratch-resistant. It does not require any regular after-treatment such as painting or sealing.

  • How do I clean the HPL products from design@garten?

Lukewarm water, mild detergent and a soft cloth are sufficient for cleaning. Aggressive or abrasive agents and high-pressure cleaners with a narrow jet should be avoided.

Colours & patterns

  • What colours are the products available in?

Our sideboards are available in seven defined standard colours: white, Tuscany, silver grey, medium grey, steel grey, anthracite and black. These standard colours are particularly popular and quickly available.

In addition, you have the option of choosing from the complete Trespa colour palette. This includes an almost unlimited variety of surfaces: from modern plain decors and natural wood and stone decors to multi-coloured and metallic surfaces. This allows us to individually adapt sideboards to your architectural ideas and your colour concept.

  • Can I also get the products from design@garten in a special colour?

If you have a special colour request, please contact us directly. As Trespa® does not work according to the RAL system, we recommend that you let us know your desired RAL shade or a reference colour. We will then select suitable samples from the Trespa® collection and send you a pre-selected colour selection for testing.

  • Can I order colour samples for the products?

Yes, we offer free colour sample shipping for our seven standard colours. These colour samples are small (approx. 8 x 8 cm) HPL panels and are therefore exactly binding in terms of material and colour. They only differ from our products in terms of thickness so that the dispatch pack is not too thick. You are welcome to keep the HPL panels and put them through their paces: get them dirty, wash them off, scratch them, look at them in sunlight and in the shade, etc.

Dimensions & customisation

  • Are there standard sizes or are special sizes possible?

In addition to standard sizes, customised special sizes can also be realised. Dimensions, layouts and equipment can be flexibly adapted to your requirements.

Order & delivery

  • How does the ordering process work?

    1. Consulting & planning: We discuss your wishes and requirements.
    2. Quotation: You will receive a customised, binding quotation.
    3. Order: The order becomes binding with your written confirmation.
    4. Approval drawing: You will receive a dimensionally accurate drawing for testing. We only start production after approval.

  • Is there also free delivery?

Yes, we offer free kerbside delivery for some of our products. This applies in particular to tall cabinets, sideboards and garden boxes as well as heat pump panelling, wooden storage units and benches. Whether a free delivery option is available for the model you require depends on the size. A corresponding note will be displayed in the respective product configurator / product selection as well as in the FAQs of the respective product.

  • Who is responsible for setting up the products on site?

Our trained assembly team usually takes care of the assembly of the products on site.

  • What guarantee is there and what services do you offer?

We grant a 5-year guarantee on construction and HPL panels, 2 years on fittings. Covered are material and manufacturing defects when used properly. Excluded are improper use, extreme weather events or lack of maintenance. Spare parts are available for at least 10 years. Subsequent adjustments or repairs are possible as a chargeable service.
